Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Crusaders wrapped up the regular season with a close loss to the Mountain Lions of Young Harris College with a final score of 68-65 at Hayes Gymnasium. Both teams shot .500 from the field in the first half, leading to a narrow 38-37 lead for YHC. NGU would post the high shot percentage in the second half with a .393 percentage compared to a .313 percentage for the Mountain Lions. However, Young Harris was able to make four three pointers in the half while NGU went 0-2 from three point territory. Although the Crusaders would take more shots, YHC ultimately was able to come out on top by three points. The Crusaders finished the night with a .448 percentage from the field.
Caleb Williams posted 17 points as well as 5 rebounds.
Zak Perdew finished with 11 points, 3 steals, 3 assists, a rebound, and a block.
Babatunde Ajike finished his final game at Hayes Gymnasium nearing a double-double, finishing with 8 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 blocks.
The Crusaders will return to action in the first round of the Conference Carolinas Tournament on Sunday, March 3rd against the Valkyries of Converse University. The game will be hosted by Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk, North Carolina.
