Box Score The North Greenville Crusaders held on to a 66-64 victory against the Lions of Paine College this evening in Augusta, Georgia. NGU struggled in the first half, shooting just .289 from the field but vastly improved in the second half with a .536 field goal percentage. North Greenville was able to limit turnovers, committing just five for the game while Paine turned the ball over eighteen times. The Crusaders also led in second chance points 16-8 thanks to sixteen offensive rebounds.
Babatunde Ajike posted a double-double, recording 14 points and 14 rebounds.
Savion Brown led NGU with 16 points while also providing 2 rebounds and an assist.
Justin Perry finished with 11 points, 2 rebounds, and an assist.
NGU will face the Bobcats of Lees-McRae College on Saturday, February 17th in Banner Elk, North Carolina.
