Columbia – 14 athletes set personal bests this weekend including 10 – distance runners at the Carolina Challenge at the University of South Carolina.
Three runners in the 5K finished the weekend with personal best times led by
Matthew Heath. Heath finished with the best time for North Greenville with a time of 15:54.
Cohen McDonald finished the race in 16:09 while Chas Brewer was just behind with a time of 16:25.
Joel Herman headlined in the 3K for North Greenville with a time of 8:50 while
Mason White finished close behind with a time of 9:10.
Solomon Canup finished with a time of 2:48 in the 1000 Meter while Nick Lavelle posts a new personal best in the mile with a time of 4:46.
Ben Jaminet and
Zach Bannister posted new indoor personal best times in the 800 – meter with times of 1:57 and 2:05.
Ryland Kowalski finished with a new personal best time of 2:00 in the 800.
Austin Simpkins ran the 200 – meter in a time of 22.52, a new indoor personal best for him while
Tyshone Phelps finished the 200 with a personal best time of 23.53.
NGU also had two personal records tossed in the weight throw.
Taylor Campbell finished with a distance of 13.48 while Keyshawn Lloyd had a distance of 10.04.
