Trailblazers Turn in Solid Showing at Davidson Relays

Davidson, N.C. - North Greenville put together a solid all-around showing at the Davidson Relays, highlighted by a first-place finish and multiple top-10 performances across both track and field events.

Leading the way for the Trailblazers was Troy Cocco, who delivered a standout performance in the javelin. Cocco claimed the event title with a throw of 66.13 meters, securing first place and marking one of the top performances of the meet for NGU. Teammate Kyle Turpin also contributed in the same event, finishing eighth overall with a throw of 54.39 meters.

In the hammer throw, Taylor Campbell added another podium finish for North Greenville. Campbell placed third with a mark of 53.34 meters, continuing a strong trend for the Trailblazers in the throwing events.

On the track, the men's 4x100 meter relay team turned in a competitive performance, finishing fifth with a time of 42.25 seconds. The group showed solid speed and execution against a deep field.

Tyshone Phelps competed in two hurdle events, earning a ninth-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.72 seconds. He followed that up with an eighth-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles, clocking in at 56.99 seconds to cap off a busy day.

Kaleb Stephens-Neal rounded out the top performances on the track, placing ninth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.75 seconds.
