Series History
The Crusaders take on another familiar opponent in week two of the 2023 season in the Newberry Wolves, a series that dates back to when Newberry College sported a different mascot. The first of the 18 games between the two programs happened in 1997 before NGU was a member of the NCAA. It was a dominating 45-0 matchup in favor of the then Indians.
North Greenville's first win didn't come until 2011 followed by a second win in 2012. North Greenville earned another set of wins in 2019 and 2021 before the Wolves earned a one touchdown score of the Crusaders last season. Overall Newberry owns a 13 – 5 edge over NGU in the non-conference series.
