Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Crusaders clinched the second seed in the Conference Carolinas Tournament this afternoon at Pepsi Stadium with a 15-12 victory over the Barton Bulldogs. NGU took the lead in the first quarter, ending it with a 4-2 lead. However, Barton would bounce back in the second quarter as the two teams would go into halftime tied at 7-7. NGU would dominate the third quarter, scoring four goals while allowing just one to take a three goal lead. The Bulldogs put a scare into NGU by scoring three of the first five goals, but the Crusaders would bounce back by scoring two of the last three to secure the win.
Joe Amici put together another double digit save performance, finishing with twelve.
