The North Greenville Crusaders fell this afternoon in Franklin Springs, Georgia to the Emmanuel Lions with a final score of 91-64. NGU trailed by as much as seventeen points in the first half before putting together a run to cut the deficit down to five going into halftime. However, Emmanuel would take over in the second half as the Crusaders cooled down from the field. The Lions would nearly double North Greenville's point production in the second half, and would finish the game with a solid .557 field goal percentage. NGU struggled in the second half to finish with a .367 percentage from the field. Points in the paint proved to be an important factor as well, with Emmanuel leading the category 52-32.
Justin Perry led NGU with 12 points while also recording a steal, a rebound, and an assist.
Zak Perdew also hit double digit points with 10. He also posted 4 assists, a block, and a steal.
Max Topham finished the day with 9 points and 2 rebounds.
NGU will head to Boiling Springs, North Carolina to take on the Bulldogs of Gardner-Webb University in an exhibition on Monday, December 11th.
