The North Greenville Crusaders fell to the Chowan Hawks this afternoon in Murfreesboro, North Carolina with a final score of 82-67. NGU trailed throughout the afternoon, and although they were able to close the gap multiple times throughout the matchup, Chowan would end the game by pulling away and ultimately finishing with a double digit victory. Both teams were able to consistently attack the paint as the two teams would finish with a combined seventy-seven points in the paint with the Hawks leading the category by eight points. The Hawks doubled the Crusaders in second chance points with twenty. NGU put together a good first half from the field, shooting 44.8% from the field. However, things would cool off in the second half as North Greenville made just eight of twenty-eight shots for a 28.6 field goal percentage.

Max Topham put together an impressive performance, finishing with 19 points as well as 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and a steal. Caleb Williams posted 12 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and a block. CaDarrius Sowell also recorded double-digit points with 11 while also providing 3 rebounds and 2 assists.

NGU will return to action on Saturday, December 16th against the Lees-McRae Bobcats at Hayes Gymnasium.
