Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Crusaders notched their second win of the season with a 75-63 victory over the Lions of Mars Hill University this evening at Hayes Gymnasium. NGU took a one point lead into halftime, and was able to pull away late and outscored the Lions by eleven points in the second half. The Crusaders were ice cold from the three-point line, going two of twenty-one. However, NGU otherwise had a good night from the field, posting a .435 field goal percentage. North Greenville was also able to capitalize off of Mars Hills' seventeen turnovers, scoring twenty-five points off turnovers.
Max Topham put together a dominant night, going 9-12 from the field and finishing with 23 points as well as 2 rebounds, an assist, a steal, and a block.
Babatunde Ajike recorded 14 points, 7 rebounds, 2 steals, an assist, and a block.
Zak Perdew provided 11 points, 8 assists, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals.
NGU will return to action on Tuesday, November 28th against the Owls of Warren Wilson College at Hayes Gymnasium.
