NGU Remains Perfect in Conference Standings, Defeats Converse

North Greenville took down the Valkyries of Converse University this afternoon in Spartanburg, South Carolina with a final score of 3-1 to improve their unblemished conference record to 6-0. Although the Crusaders were outperformed in aces and blocks, they would lead the day in points, kills, assists, and digs while also leading the attack percentage category by finishing with a .268 percentage. North Greenville thoroughly dominated the opening set, posting sixteen kills while committing just two attack errors to finish with a 25-15 set win and a .359 attack percentage. The Crusaders would nearly match that performance in the second set, this time recording twenty-one kills and four errors for a .340 attack percentage and taking it in extra points 29-27. Set three would prove to be a struggle for the Crusaders as ten errors would lead to a .091 attack percentage and a 27-25 set win for Converse. However, NGU would bounce back in set four, improving with a .290 attack percentage with fifteen kills and six errors. They would go on to take the set with a score of 25-20.

  • Abigail Durham set her season-high in kills with twenty-three while also recording a block assist and a dig.
