Tigerville, SC - North Greenville started off the weekend with a 3-1 win over the Hawks of Chowan University in the home opener at Hayes Gymnasium. After starting things off with a dominant 25-12 set win, the Crusaders continued the momentum in set two. Although it was a competitive one, NGU would go on to take it 25-20. Set three saw North Greenville fall behind early, and although the Crusaders would get back within striking distance, Chowan would ultimately win the set 25-21 to force a 4th set, which NGU would win 25-18. Three Crusaders hit double digit kills including a career-high ten by
Nicole Santiago. With the win, the Crusaders improved their conference record to 3-0 to remain in 1st place in the Conference Carolinas West Division standings.
