North Greenville Scores Equalizer in Final Minute to Draw with Belmont Abbey

After trailing by a goal entering the final minute of the match, the North Greenville Crusaders were able to score the game-tying goal to draw even with the Crusaders of Belmont Abbey College this afternoon in Belmont, North Carolina. Shots came at a premium in the first half as NGU would narrowly lead the category 4-3. Neither team had a shot on goal in the half. The second half would be a different story as Belmont Abbey turned on the offense, posting a total of twelve shots in the half. However, North Greenville would be the team to get on the board first as Renan Macuglia scored his fourth goal of the season by way of a penalty kick in the 55th minute. BAC would tie things back up in the 82nd minute. Belmont Abbey would strike again in the 88th minute in what seemed to be the game-winning goal, but NGU had other plans as Gage Acker found the back of the net in the final minute of the match. Time would expire with the two teams even at 2-2.
