The North Greenville Crusaders were unable to hang on to an early lead against the Crusaders of Belmont Abbey College, dropping the final match of the regular season with a final score of 16-5 this afternoon in Belmont, North Carolina. NGU took a 2-1 lead into the 2nd quarter, but BAC would outscore North Greenville 4-1 to take a 5-3 lead into halftime. Belmont Abbey repeated their production in the 3rd quarter, scoring four additional goals as NGU was shutout during the quarter. NGU put up a fight to start the 4th quarter, scoring two of the first three goals to cut the deficit back down to five. However, BAC would take over for the remainder of the quarter, scoring the final six goals to win by eleven.
Garrison Story recorded eleven saves but was the losing goalie.
