NGU split a conference series with the Lions of Emmanuel College, winning game one with a score of 7-4 then dropping game two with a score of 12-4 this afternoon in Franklin Springs, Georgia. The Crusaders led in hits 9-8 in game one, but the Emmanuel lineup proved to be affective in game two, recording twenty hits while the Crusaders put up seven. North Greenville showed up their power in game one with
Claire Gilmore and
Jenna Hewes hitting home runs and
Taylor Koon posting a double. The Crusaders would hit three doubles in game two, but would otherwise be limited at the plate.
Bailey Pace was solid on the mound, pitching a complete game to earn the win.
Hailey Wells pitched the opening three innings but took the loss in game two.
