Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Crusaders were unable to keep up with the high-powered offense of the Bulldogs of Barton College in the second half, falling with a final score of 85-69 this afternoon at Hayes Gymnasium. Both teams put together impressive numbers in the first half to go into halftime just three points apart with the Bulldogs holding a 39-35 lead. However, that lead would substantially increase in the second half for Barton as turnovers proved to be costly, allowing the Bulldogs to shoot thirteen more shots from the field than NGU in the second half. Although both teams would shoot at least .500 in the half, Barton's amount of field goal allowed the Bulldogs to pull away. Turnovers were costly for NGU as well with twenty-seven points off turnovers going to the Bulldogs while NGU could manage just twelve of their own. Second chance points also proved to be a factor, with Barton leading that category as well 19-8.
