Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Crusaders wrapped up the 2022 regular season with a 3-0 sweep of the King Tornado this evening at Hayes Gymnasium to finish with an overall record of 20-10 and a conference record of 15-3. NGU led in all categories including dominating in service aces 12-4. After an early lead by the Tornado to begin the match, a 8-0 run by the Crusaders put the set on ice early on, with NGU going on to take the set 25-17. Set two proved to be the most competitive of the match, as things would remain close until a 9-2 run by North Greenville would lead to a 25-19 set win. The Crusaders left no doubt in set three, getting off to a 10-0 lead. King would go on a run to slightly close up the gap, but it would not be near enough as NGU would go on to comfortably win the set 25-14.
