Tigerville – North Greenville picked off four passes and returned a pair for a touchdown but a late touchdown by West Georgia lifted the Wolves to a 38 – 35 win over the Crusaders on a wild Saturday afternoon.
North Greenville led at halftime for just the second time this season.
Dylan Ramirez hooked up with
Quentin Sanders from 12 – yards, a passing touchdown that made it 21 – 17 with 35 seconds left in the half. Ramirez accounted for NGU's first score of the game, taking it in from one yard out, evening the score at 7 – 7 at the time.
The Wolves marched down the field on their final drive of the first half, hitting on a couple of long pass plays. The drive ended in the endzone as North Greenville picked off its third pass of the first half.
Dantevian Byrd was credited with his third interception of the season on the tipped pass.
Freshman
Kendrick Clark had a career day for the Crusaders, picking off a pair of passes and returning each for a score. The first touchdown tied the game at 14 – 14 in the first half. It was a 95 – yard return that flipped momentum in favor of North Greenville.
North Greenville engineered a long scoring drive to start the second half, a march which lasted 14 – plays and covered 81 – yards.
Corey Watkins capped it with a four – yard rushing touchdown, extending the lead to 11 – points (28 – 17).
West Georgia answered with back – to – back scores to take a 31 – 28 lead. The Wolves capitalized on one of two North Greenville fumbles to take their first advantage since their 14 – 7 lead in the first quarter.
North Greenville turned the ball over once again as they were driving to answer the West Georgia score. The Wolves took over near mid-field but Clark's second interception and touchdown of the game gained the Crusaders a 35 – 31 lead with 11:36 left in the game.
The Wolves eventually tacked on another score with around four minutes left on the clock. Jaxton Carson carried it in from a couple of yards out, a rush that made it 38 – 35. North Greenville was able to move the ball on its final drive, but penalties and a sack made it 4
th and 28 just past midfield. The final play fell short and the Wolves were able to run out the clock.

- Corey Watkins led all rushers with 133 – yards on 28 carries. He also scored a touchdown. Dylan Ramirez added 38 – yards and a score on the ground.
- Ramirez finished with 181 – yards through the air on 22 completions and a touchdown. Quentin Sanders had the only receiving touchdown. Tyler Hamilton led with 55 – yards on five catches.
- Dantevian Byrd led North Greenville with 11 – tackles including one stop for a loss. He also had an interception. Fred Billy finished with nine-tackles.
- Ethan Alexander led the Crusaders in tackles for a loss with two stops in the backfield.
- Jaiden Clayton picked off his first pass of the season. He finished with seven tackles.

- Its back on the road after a pair of home games. The Crusaders head to Alabama to play West Alabama next Saturday.
