Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Crusaders were able to break through with a goal in the second half to defeat the Lions of Emmanuel College this evening at Pepsi Stadium. A high-energy first half would result in three shots for the Crusaders and two for Emmanuel, but the two teams would go into halftime scoreless. Early on in the second half, NGU would strike with a goal by Conference Carolinas Player of the Week
Yessine Bessaies, which was assisted by
Carlos Navarro and
Reda Ikarrain. The NGU defense would hang on throughout the remainder of the second half to preserve the win. North Greenville finished the match leading in the shot column 10-6 and improved their conference record to 5-2-2 in conference play.
