Tigerville, SC - The shorthanded North Greenville Crusaders came within four points of overcoming a double digit deficit thanks to a high-scoring second half. However, the Crusaders ultimately fell to the Trojans of the University of Mount Olive by a final score of 91-81 this afternoon at Hayes Gymnasium. NGU was simply unable to keep up with the offensive power of the Trojans in the first half as a .351 field goal percentage would trail UMO's .432 percentage in the first half, allowing Mount Olive to build up an eleven point lead going into halftime. The Trojans continued to pull away early in the second half, opening the lead to twenty. NGU then responded with a big run that was capped off by two straight three pointers by
Jacob Redding to close the gap all the way down to four points. From there, UMO would work to open the lead back up to double digits, going on to win by ten.
