Box Score 2 After falling to the Bulldogs in walk off fashion yesterday, North Greenville bounced back with 9-8 and 13-3 wins against Barton College this afternoon in Wilson, North Carolina. Both teams kept things close in game one with NGU scoring the game-winning run in the top of the 7th, but NGU would dominate the second half of game two to win by a wide margin, scoring all thirteen runs after the 5th inning.
Gehrig Octavio connected for six hits throughout the day.

Recap
- Game one began with Barton taking a 4-0 lead by the bottom of the 2nd. The Crusaders would get on the board in the top of the 4th and would score six runs in the inning including a three-run home run by Marek Chlup. The Bulldogs reclaimed the lead in the bottom of the 5th with a three run home run of their own as well as an RBI single. However, NGU would fight back in the top of the 7th with a two-RBI double by Jax Cash to tie the game and would take the lead in the 7th by way of an RBI double by Brady West. Brent Herlong, who pitched the final 1.2 innings, earned the win.
- The Crusaders were held scoreless in the first five innings of game two as Barton would lead 3-0. However, the Crusaders would go on to dominate the remainder of the game, scoring a run in the 6th, three runs in the 7th, five runs in the 8th including a two-run homer by John Michael Faile, and four runs in the 9th including a two-run triple by Gehrig Octavio and another two-run home run by John Michael Faile. Christian Ryder earned the win while Reece Fields pitched the final three innings to earn the save.

- Gehrig Octavio posted 6 hits throughout the day including a triple. He also provided 4 runs and 4 RBIs.
