The North Greenville Crusaders improved their conference record to 2-0 with a 16-10 victory over the Lions of Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, Georgia. With the win, the Crusaders have won four of their last five games, and after starting the season 0-4 are now just one win away from a .500 record.
Devin Napoli and

Recap
- It would take over six minutes for a goal to be scored, but that goal would belong to NGU as Brendan Sullivan would put NGU on the board. Cam Webb and Corey Long would add to the Crusaders lead with goals of their own to make the score 3-0. Emmanuel would get on the board with just less than two minutes left in the quarter, but North Greenville would score again before time expired with a goal by Devin Napoli, making the score 4-1 at the end of the 1st.
- NGU would go on a charge in the 2nd quarter, scoring five unanswered goal including two by Devin Napoli and three others by Jimmy Edmiston, Kyle Bollman, and Thomas Cecere. The Lions would finally stop the bleeding with two straight goals, but once again the Crusaders would close out the quarter with a goal, which was scored by Thomas Cecere to give NGU a 10-3 lead at halftime.
- The Lions quickly began the 3rd quarter with a goal, but the Crusaders would immediately respond with another goal by Cecere. After an Emmanuel goal, NGU ended the quarter with goals by Cecere and Devin Napoli.
- Early in the 4th, North Greenville would score two goals from Matt Heyden and Alex Brooks. EC responded with two goals of their own. With just under nine minutes remaining, Kyle Bollman would score NGU's final goal of the game. Emmanuel was able to end the game with three consecutive goals, but the Crusaders would ultimately take the match without issue.

- Devin Napoli, coming off his Conference Carolinas Player of the Week honor, had another solid game, posting 4 goals and 2 assists.
- Thomas Cecere scored 4 goals of his own while also providing an assist, 2 ground balls, and a caused turnover.
- Joe Amici returned to the goalkeeper position, providing 7 saves for the match.
