Tigerville, SC - NGU came through in the second half for a 2-1 victory over the Lions of Emmanuel College this afternoon at Pepsi Stadium. The Crusaders dominated the 1st half in total shots 9-2 before being outperformed in the shot column in the 2nd half 9-4. However, North Greenville would make the most out of their shots as two of them would result in goals. Emmanuel nearly put together a comeback, but the Crusader defense would prevent the equalizer from scoring.

• North Greenville would prove to be the aggressors in the opening half, recording four shots in the first fifteen minutes and nine total shots for the half. Emmanuel would get off just two total shots for the half with neither being on goal. The Crusaders would close out the half by getting off four shots in the final fifteen minutes, but would not find the back of the net as the half would ultimately go scoreless.
• It would not take long for NGU to get on the scoreboard in the 2nd as Keletso Mathathe would score with an assist by Carlos Navarro. Less than two minutes later, the Crusaders would score again with a goal by Dillon Erkens and an assist by Jorge Henao-Chica. With thirteen minutes remaining, Emmanuel would connect with a goal to pull back within one. The Lions would get a last second shot off, but NGU would hang on for the victory.
