Recap
- Newberry scored the first two runs of the day in the 2nd and 3rd innings. However, an error would allow North Greenville to even things up in the bottom of the 4th. Both lineups would go quiet until the bottom of the 7th when two Crusaders were in scoring position. A strikeout would end the threat to keep the game tied at 2-2. Eventually, the game would require extra innings, allowing the international run rule to be in effect. A sacrifice fly would bring in a runner in the top of the 10th to give Newberry the lead. NGU would even things up yet again in the bottom of the order by way of a sacrifice fly by Brady West. Things would get away from the Crusaders in the top of the 11th as the Wolves would get three runs across to take a 6-3 lead. Marek Chlup would bring in Pat Monteith with an RBI single, but two strikeouts would end the game to give Newberry the win. Christian Ryder, who pitched the final three innings, was charged with the loss.
- Game two would start off with a solo shot by the Wolves in the top of the 1st to take an early lead. In the bottom of the 3rd, NGU would even up the score when Cory Bivins scored on a wild pitch. Marek Chlup put the Crusaders ahead in the bottom of the 4th with a no doubter over the scoreboard in left field. The big inning came in the 5th with North Greenville scoring seven runs in the inning including RBI doubles by Ethan Stringer and Brady West while Jax Cash put two more runs on the board with a 2 RBI double down the right field line. Newberry would put up a fight in the top of the 6th by scoring three runs to get back within striking distance. However, Brady West would get one of those runs back with a solo shot down the right field line. An insurance run would come in the 8th when a wild pitch allowed Brady West to score.
