Box Score Tigerville, SC - After falling behind in the opening half against the 8th ranked Bears of Lenoir-Rhyne University, the Crusaders nearly completed a big comeback in the 2nd half, but fell just one goal short with a final score of 9-8 at Pepsi Stadium. The Crusaders would have the final possession of the game, and would have a chance to tie the game to force overtime. However, two shots proved to be unsuccessful as the Bears would narrowly hang on for the win.

- Lenoir-Rhyne began the game making quick work of things, scoring two goals within the first two minutes. NGU would put up the vast majority of shots in the quarter, but LR would make the most of their shots, scoring a third unanswered goal with a minute remaining to make the score 3-0.
- The Bears would score two more goals before the Crusaders were finally able to get on the board with a goal by Kyle Bollman and an assist by Thomas Cecere. Both teams would score an additional goal before halftime, with North Greenville's being scored by Thomas Cecere. LR would go into halftime leading 6-2.
- Devin Napoli would score the first goal of the 3rd quarter to get the Crusaders back within three. Lenoir-Rhyne would score two in a row before NGU responded with two goals of their own, scored by Thomas Cecere and Kyle Bollman with assists by Brendan Sullivan and Cecere.
- Alex Brooks would begin the 4th quarter by scoring his first collegiate goal. After the Bears scored what would go on to be their final goal, the Crusaders found themselves at a three goal deficit with just under nine minutes remaining. A third goal by Thomas Cecere would cut the deficit to two. With just over a minute left in the game, Davin Napoli would find the back of the net to get North Greenville within one goal. Austin Zumbado and Corey Long would both get off a shot in the final minute, but the Bears would ultimately escape Tigerville with the win.
