- North Greenville would hold the momentum to start the game by taking an early 6-2 lead. From there, Southern Wesleyan would go on a 17-3 run to take a 19-9 lead. SWU would continue to shoot well, leading by as much as 20 points. Jacob Redding and Jalon Cokley would score threes to keep NGU in the game, but the Warriors would take a 51-33 lead into halftime.
- NGU would once again get off to a good start in the 2nd half, posting a 12-4 run to cut the deficit down to ten points. After SWU scored five in a row, North Greenville would continue to cut away at the deficit with an 11-1 run, six of which were scored by Jalon Cokley. The Crusaders would cut the deficit down to a single point twice in the half, but were not quite able to score the game-tying or game-leading basket. After SWU opened their lead back to five, a layup by C.J. Jamison with ten seconds remaining brought NGU with three. However, two made free throws put an end to any potential game-tying shot as the Warriors would hang on for the victory.
