Recap
  • A very competitive opening set would need extra points to come to a conclusion. Both teams hit double digit kills, but the Bobcats would ultimately come out on top with a solid attack game that resulted in just two errors throughout the set. NGU posted more kills, but eight errors would prove to be costly as LMC would hang on to win it 28-26.
  • After a fairly even start to set two, a 10-1 run by NGU would be more than enough to take the set with relative ease. Lees-McRae would put up a fight, but the issue was never in doubt as the Crusaders would win it 25-17.
  • Set three was put to rest early with a 9-0 by North Greenville. Lees-McRae would eventually get going, but NGU would easily take the set 25-13.
  • The fourth set would be a competitive one as the two teams would exchange the lead several times. Neither team would lead by more than two until a 4-1 run would give the Crusaders a 15-12 lead. The Bobcats would come back to tie the set, but a 6-1 run by NGU would prove to be enough as they would go on to win the set 25-21 to take the match.
Individual Upcoming
  • The Crusaders will take on the Tigers of Benedict College on Thursday, October 7th in Columbia, SC.
