Box Score Tigerville, SC - North Greenville fell just short of a comeback at Hayes Gymnasium this afternoon, falling 62-59 to the Crusaders of Belmont Abbey College. After falling behind by seven in the 1st half, NGU fought back and outscored BAC in the 2nd. North Greenville was able to attempt a game-tying shot, but the shot was unsuccessful, allowing Belmont Abbey to hang on for the win.
C.J. Jamison had another impressive performance, scoring 12 points and collecting 6 rebounds.

Recap
- Jalon Cokley scored the opening points of the game with a three pointer. After a made jumper by BAC, C.J. Jamison would connect for a three pointer of his own to give NGU its largest lead of four points. However, soon after North Greenville would lose the lead for good thanks to a 15-1 run by Belmont Abbey. NGU would eventually stop the bleeding and stick with BAC for the remainder of the half, but Belmont Abbey would go into halftime with a seven point lead.
- The 2nd half began with David Muncy scoring four straight points by way of a layup and two free throws to get North Greenville back within three. Nearly seven minutes into the half, NGU would erase their deficit with a three pointer by Tracus Chisholm to tie the game at 41-41. After a run by Belmont Abbey to get back ahead by nine points, North Greenville would nearly erase the deficit once again by drawing within two points. Down by three with :15 remaining in the game, NGU had an opportunity to send the game into overtime by getting a late shot off. However, that shot would bounce off the rim and be rebounded by BAC to end the game.
