North Greenville Unable to Slow Down Lees-McRae

Tigerville, SC - North Greenville was unable to slow down the high-powered offense of the Lees-McRae Bobcats, falling with a final score of 102-89 in Hayes Gymnasium. NGU had a good day overall offensively, posting a .500 field goal percentage, but a .650 percentage by the Bobcats proved to be too much to handle. Jalon Cokley had another solid game with 22 points.

After an even start to the game, Lees-McRae would be the first to go on a run, scoring sixteen straight points to take a 26-11 lead. LMC would continue to post strong offensive numbers, leading by as much as 22 in the half. The Crusaders would close out the half on a strong note, cutting the deficit to nine to end the half. 

North Greenville would open up the second half with the momentum, scoring the first seven points to cut the deficit to two points. Lees-McRae would take back the momentum, opening the lead back up with just over ten minutes left. However, NGU would get back into the game with an eight point run to once again close the gap to two points. The Crusaders would stay within striking distance, but would be unable to stop the LMC offense enough, and would eventually fall by thirteen.

The Crusaders will head to Belmont, North Carolina on Saturday, February 8th to face the Belmont Abbey Crusaders.
