North Greenville Victims of Strong Offense by Barton

Tigerville, SC - Norht Greenville fell to the high-scoring Barton Bulldogs with a final score of 98-60 at Hayes Gymnasium. Barton had a strong day in terms of offense, shooting 59.4% for the game while the Crusaders struggled with a 34.5% field goal percentage. Spencer Kirkpatrick had a solid game, scoring his season-high 21 points.

Barton was able to get off to a fast start, starting the game on a 14-3 run. The Crusaders would fight back with a 9-2 run with five of those points being scored by Spencer Kirkpatrick. Winning 22-17, Barton would open up the lead by scoring ten straight points to lead 32-17. After a layup by Kirkpatrick, the Bulldogs would close out the half scoring the final seven points to make the score 46-24 at halftime.

BC would continue to build on the lead in the second half. A 10-0 run by the Bulldogs would allow them to surpass a thirty point lead with 12:41 remaining in the game. Kirkpatrick would continue to put together a strong performance in the second half, but Barton continued to shoot well, ultimately winning the game by 38 points.

The Crusaders will head to Banner Elk, North Carolina to face the Bobcats of Lees-McRae on Wednesday, February 19th.
