NGU Offense Stays Hot in Win Over Erskine

Tigerville, SC - North Greenville had another strong day of offense in a 95-86 victory over the Erskine Flying Fleet at Hayes Gymnasium. The Crusaders have returned to .500 in conference play and are currently 7th in the Conference Carolinas standings. NGU posted a strong 57.1% from the field. Jalon Cokley led in points with 23 while DJ Brooks was close behind with 22.

The Crusaders began the first half with a dominating 15-2 run. NGU would go on to lead by as much as sixteen before the Flying Fleet spent the remainder of the first half cutting into the deficit. Erskine would put together a 14-2 run late in the half, trailing by just five points going into halftime.

North Greenville once again got off to a strong start to begin the second half, posting a 6-2 run to take a 48-39 lead and would maintain a comfortable lead throughout the majority of the half. The Flying Fleet did put up a fight, cutting the deficit to five. However, NGU would continue to shoot well to stay ahead, ultimately winning the game by nine.

NGU will return to action on Friday, January 31st against the Royals on Regent University in Tigerville.
