Season Comes to a Close With Loss to Mount Olive

The North Greenville Crusaders concluded their 2018-19 season with a 77-51 loss to the Mount Olive Trojans in Mount Olive, North Carolina. NGU struggled in the first half, and although they improved in the second half it was not enough to overcome the deficit. Ryan Mobley led with thirteen points.

1st Half

Mount Olive quickly took a ten point lead with a 12-2 run to open up the game. The Crusaders responded with a 5-0 run, but a few minutes later UMO would go on a massive 14-0 run to lead by eighteen points. North Greenville was eventually able to close the gap slightly, but would still trail by sixteen going into halftime. Ryan Mobley led with eight points in the half while as a team, the Crusaders shot 30.8% from the field.

2nd Half

Both teams began the half shooting well, with the Trojans jumping out to a 25 point lead early on. However, North Greenville was able to respond by closing the gap to seventeen points. The UMO lead would stay around twenty points until a ten point run would see the Trojans lead by 29. Late in the game, North Greenville scored the final four points of the game to end the game with a 26-point deficit. The Crusaders improved in the half with a 40.0% field goal percentage. Caleb Arrington led the team in the half with eight points.

Individual

Ryan Mobley led NGU in scoring with 13 points, and also recorded 3 assists, 2 rebounds, 2 steals, and a block.

Caleb Arrington wrapped up his season with 10 points and 2 rebounds.

Roderick Howell had a solid final game as a Crusader with 9 points, 7 rebounds, 3 blocks, and an assist.
