North Greenville Falls to Limestone In Final Home Game

Tigerville, SC - NGU wrapped up the final home game of the season with an 87-65 loss to the Limestone Saints. Four Crusaders hit double digits in points but just could not slow down the Saints' offense. Ryan Mobley led North Greenville in points with fourteen.

1st Half

Limestone pulled ahead early with an 8-2 run in the first five minutes of the game. The Crusaders quickly fought back and the two teams spent the next several minutes trading points. After the Saints took a 17-10 lead, NGU responded by going on a 6-2 run to trail by just three points. Limestone eventually took the momentum back and went on to lead by nine points at the half. North Greenville shot 35.5% from the field for the half with Ryan Mobley leading with nine points.

2nd Half

NGU began the half able to keep up with the Limestone offense, but could not cut into the deficit. After falling behind by thirteen, the Crusaders put together one last momentum swing with a 6-2 run to cut the deficit to single digits, but the Saints responded with a 10-2 to take a seventeen point lead. With the seniors getting recognition as they exited the game early, North Greenville trailed by as much as twenty five before a Logan Holliday three pointer lowered the deficit to twenty two to end the game. The Crusaders improved in the second half with a 40.6 field goal percentage. Kovi Tate scored ten points in the half.

Individual

Ryan Mobley posted a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Kovi Tate recorded 14 points and 7 rebounds.

Roderick Howell finished him final home game with 12 points, 4 rebounds, 2 blocks, and an assist.

The Crusaders will wrap up the regular season on the road against the Mount Olive Trojans in Mount Olive, NC on Saturday, February 23rd.
