Box Score The North Greenville Crusaders, who entered the game with a season field goal percentage of .446, were able to keep the offense going, but a solid day on offense by the Erskine Flying Fleet ended with an 89-77 defeat for the Crusaders in Due West, South Carolina. NGU finished the game shooting 42.6 from the field. Jalon Cokley led in points with 17.
North Greenville began on a strong note, scoring the first five points of the game. Erskine quickly responded with six points take the lead. The lead would switch a few more times before the Flying Fleet connected for a three pointer to lead by four. Nearly two minutes would go by without a point being scored by either team before Erskine put an end to the drought with four straight points to lead 13-7. The Fleet would continue to pull away shortly after by putting together an 8-0 run. Spencer Kirkpatrick would score North Greenville's first points in four minutes with a layup. Late in the half, the Crusaders would carry the momentum and cut the deficit down to three points. However, a three pointer by Erskine in the final seconds put the Flying Fleet back up by six going into halftime.
Erskine would begin the second half with the momentum, scoring the first eleven points to lead 49-34. Mason Zick would score North Greenville's first points nearly four minutes into the half. The Fleet lead was cut down to twelve with nine minutes remaining, but they would open it back up throughout the remainder of the half. A 12-4 run by Erskine put the game on ice as the Crusader deficit would increase to nineteen. NGU did close out the game with a 9-2 run to ultimately fall by twelve points.
The Crusaders will return to action on Saturday, December 7th in Tigerville to take on the Limestone Saints.
