Box Score The North Greenville Crusaders finished the week with a conference loss to the Emmanuel Lions. With the loss, the Crusaders are now 1-2 early on in conference play. Katie McManaway led in total attacks with 25.
Set 1
The first set would be competitive early on. The score was tied 4-4 and again at 6-6. However, Emmanuel would pull away later in the set. Ending with a 9-4 run, Emmanuel took the opening set 25-17.
Set 2
EC pulled away early in the set, but NGU came back to pull within 3 points. However, a 7-3 run by the Lions proved to be too much to come back from. Although NGU closed the gap late, Emmanuel took the set 25-20.
Set 3
North Greenville was able to pull ahead early in set 3. The Lions would fight back to tie the set at 12-12. Tied 16-16, Emmanuel would once again put together a run, scoring 8 of 9 points and ultimately winning the set 25-21.
Individual
Katie McManaway had a strong match with 25 total attacks, 7 kills, and 3 digs.
Annie Beisecker led in kills with 10 and recorded 21 total attacks.
Whitley Kahler led in digs with 13 digs.
