Tigerville, S.C. --  North Greenville wrapped up the season on Tuesday night falling to Belmont Abbey 69-51.

Belmont Abbey fought back and gained a 26-24 edge with 3:08 left in the half. NGU kept it close but the Crusaders from BAC would take a seven-point lead into intermission.

The Crusaders were able to cut the lead down to only 2-points but a shooting percentage of only 32.1-percent proved to be their undoing. Belmont collected 9 offensive rebounds, which led to nine second chance points as they took a 10-point lead with eight minutes left in the game.

The cold shooting continued for the Crusaders late in the half as Belmont Abbey stacked on a 15-points lead with one-minute left. NGU would run out of time as the season came to a close.

Miguel Cartagena was NGU’s only other player in double-figures as he joined Dotson with 13-points. The Crusaders finish the 2016-2017 season with 10-18 record overall and a 4-16 record in league play.
