GAFFNEY, S.C.—The Limestone College Saints basketball team marched to a 63-55 win over North Greenville on Saturday night at the Timken Center. The Saints climb to 5-13 overall as the Crusaders fall to 3-14.
Limestone had a 20-29 lead at the end of the first half, but was edged by the visitors 35-34 in the second. The Crusaders out-rebounded Limestone 32-26 for the game. The Saints scored 36 points from 3-pointers compared to North Greenville’s 15.
Limestone’s Andre Coleman (Clermont, Fla.) led his team with 17 points, going 5-for-7 from long range and nailing 5-of-6 free-throw attempts. Marques Williams (Rochester, N.Y.) scored 13 points for the Saints, as Andrae Franklin (Fort Pierce, Fla.) was 4-for-5 in field goals and 4-of-6 from the charity line for 12 points. Kenny White (Columbia, S.C.) scored 11 points. Franklin had a team-high 7 rebounds.
North Greenville’s Adam Griggs (Warsaw, Ind.) scored a game-high 19 points, and Austin Randel (Lake City, Mich.) added 18 more. Tyler Mains (Bulter, Ky.) posted 8 boards and had 5 assists.
The Saints travel to play Anderson University on February 6 at 7:30 p.m. in Anderson, S.C. North Greenville hosts Flagler in Tigerville, S.C., on February 4 at 7 p.m.
