Tigerville, SC -- The Mars Hill Lions seemingly owned the nets at Hayes Gymnasium Wednesday night as they slashed North Greenville (1-4) 101-73 behind 28 points by Danny Sanders.
Mars Hill took a large 54-38 halftime lead behind Sanders’ 21 points and 17 by P.J. Gore. Gore finished the game with 21 points for the Lions. Sanders hit 9-12 from the field in the game and was also 9-12 at the free throw line. Mars Hill shot a scorching 54% from the field in the game on 35-65 shooting.
Freshman center Paul Harrison led NGU with 14 points and freshman guard T.J. Resper added 13. The Crusaders were hampered by Mars Hill’s pressure defense as they committed a season high 32 turnovers.
The Crusaders will now break for final examinations and the Christmas holidays and will return to action on January 3 when they play at Erskine in Due West, SC.
