The North Greenville Trailblazers improved to 7-0 for the season with a 7-1 victory over the Sharks of Hawaii Pacific University last night in Honolulu, Hawaii. NGU took an early lead when
Payton Howard drove in two runs with a double to left center. Hawaii Pacific responded with a run in the 2nd, but North Greenville would pull away in the top of the 4th with a five-run inning including two-RBI doubles by
Bryce Roddey and
Gideon Antle. Pitching took over from there as
Thomas Skipper,
Oliver Adams, and
Cole Munhall combined for 4.2 scoreless innings. Bennett Roamer, who was the starting pitcher, received the win.
Gideon Antle posted two hits including a double and also drove in two RBIs. Bryce Rodder recorded a double, two RBIs, two walks, a run, and a stolen base.
Bennett Roemer pitched a solid 4.1 innings, allowing just one run off seven hits and a hit batter. He struck out seven.
NGU will wrap up the series against the Sharks of Hawaii Pacific tonight in Honolulu, Hawaii.
