Trailblazers Improve to 6-0 in Win Against Chaminade

The North Greenville Trailblazers defeated the Silverswords of Chaminade University with a final score of 11-6 in Waipahu, Hawaii. NGU once again showed off its speed on the base paths as they combined for five stolen bases as well as four extra-base hits. The Trailblazers were able to get on the board early with three runs in the 1st inning including a two-RBI single by Landon Peavy. After Chaminade responded with two runs in the bottom of the 1st, North Greenville kept things going with two runs in the 2nd inning including an RBI triple by Gideon Antle, which was followed by an RBI single by Bryce Roddey in the 3rd inning. After a run by the Silverswords in the bottom of the 3rd, things would go quiet as the 4th and 5th innings went scoreless. However, North Greenville struck again in the 6th for three runs. Antle would keep things going with a two-RBI single in the 7th to increase the NGU lead to eight. Chaminade put up a fight in the bottom of the 9th, scoring three runs to cut their deficit to five. However, Evan Loeser would go on to record the final out to secure the Trailblazer victory. Connor Brinson, who pitched 3.0 scoreless innings of relief, was the winning pitcher.

Gideon Antle went three for five at the plate including a triple and posted four RBIs, a stolen base, and a run scored. Bryce Roddey also recorded three hits at the plate including a double as well as three runs scored, two RBIs, a walk, and a solen base. Connor Brinson pitched 3.0 scoreless innings, allowing just two hits and no walks while striking out two to earn the win.

NGU will return to action on Saturday, February 8th in an exhibition game against Chaminade, followed by an official game against Hawaii Pacific University at 10:30 ET.
