Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Trailblazers put together a 14-3 win over the Wasps of Emory & Henry University in the first home game of the 2025 season at Ray & Bea Dillard Field. Emory & Henry took an early lead with a run in the top of the 1st, but NGU quickly responded with an RBI by
Gideon Antle. North Greenville took things over with a productive 2nd inning with seven runs including a three-run home run by Antle as well as an RBI double by Lana McGaha. After a scoreless 3rd,
Tristan Salinas added a run with an RBI single in the bottom of the 4th. Both teams would put two runs on the board in the 5th inning, with North Greenville's runs coming from a home run by
Andrew Sands. The scoring would continue for the Trailblazers with a run in the 6th and two runs in the 7th. Pitching handled the remainder of the game as
Brady Price would pitch the final inning to secure the win for North Greenville.
Cole Munhall, who pitched the 2nd inning, was deemed the winning pitcher.
Tristan Salinas posted four hits as well as three RBIs and two runs scored.
Lane McGaha finished his day with two hits including a double in addition to two runs, two walks, and an RBI.
Bryce Roddey also posted two hits as well as two RBIs and a run scored.
NGU will face the Braves of UNC Pembroke in a three game conference series starting on Friday, February 21st at Ray and Bea Dillard Field.
