Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Trailblazers took the opening set but otherwise fell short to the Railsplitters of Lincoln Memorial University with a final score of 3-1 at Hayes Gymnasium. NGU was able to get things started on a strong note, winning set one 25-20. However, the Railsplitters took over the match from there. With the help of solid attack percentages in the remaining three sets as well as a dominating thirteen total blocks, LMU took both sets two and three with a score of 25-14 and followed up with a 25-19 win in set four to secure the win. NGU recorded a .259 attack percentage in set one, but vastly struggled in sets two and three with negative attack percentages in both. They would recover with a .324 attack percentage in set four, but the help of a nearly identical attack percentage as well as an impressive number of blocks would help Lincoln Memorial hang on to take the final set as well. 

Logan Keothavy led NGU with twelve kills and also provided three digs and a service ace. Nick Tangney posted nine kills and three digs. Logan Taylor provided thirty-six assists as well as four digs.

NGU will return to action on Tuesday, January 21st against the Indians of Catawba College at Hayes Gymnasium.
