The North Greenville Trailblazers fell to the Lions of Mars Hill University this afternoon in Mars Hill, North Carolina with a final score of 84-57. NGU trailed by just four at the end of the first quarter and was outscored by five in the second quarter to trail by nine at halftime. However, the third quarter proved to be quite a struggle for the Trailblazers, who scored only six points in the quarter while allowing twenty-four points to the Lions. Both teams would post eighteen points in the fourth quarter as Mars Hill would hang on for a comfortable win. With the loss, the Trailblazers are still in search of their first win of the season.
Austin Johnson led NGU in scoring, finishing in double digit points with ten.
Maliyiah Mason finished with ten rebounds along with six points.
Mia Wysong also contributed with eight points, four rebounds, and four assists.
North Greenville will return to action on Wednesday, November 20th with a nonconference matchup against the Bearcats of Lander University at Hayes Gymnasium.
