North Greenville increased its winning streak to four this evening in Young Harris, Georgia with a 3-1 victory over the Young Harris Mountain Lions. After going up early with a goal in the first ten minutes of the match, that score would remain the same going into halftime. However, NGU would strike again five minutes into the second half. YHC would get on the board in the 57th minute, but North Greenville would add an insurance goal with thirteen minutes remaining and would hang on for the win. The win improves North Greenville's overall record to 4-3-0 with a conference record of 3-0-0. NGU finished the match leading in total shots with fifteen and posted six shots on goal.
It wouldn't take long for the Crusaders to get on the board as
Aubrey Kramer scored her second goal of the season with an assist by
Valerie Hernandez. That score would hold until the 51st minute of the match when
Isabella Gyurich found the back of the net for the third time this season with assists by
Aleisha Lamb and
Jaycee Watkins. Six minutes later, Young Harris would get on the board with their first and only goal of the match. However, NGU would open the lead back up to two with a goal by
Aleisha Lamb in the 78th minute with an assist by
Abigail Shultz. Goalkeeper
Haleigh Holland finished with three saves including two in the second half to help preserve the NGU lead.
