The North Greenville Crusaders fell short in their home-opener to the North Georgia Nighthawks. The Crusaders were able to keep it close in the first half, holding the Nighthawk offense to just one goal on eight shots but had trouble getting past a quick North Georgia defense. The Crusaders offensive struggle continued through the second half as they were only able to manage one shot compared to North Georgia's eight. The final score was 3-0 Nighthawks, and the Crusaders fall to 0-3-0 on the season before entering conference play.
 
Goalkeeper Haleigh Holland had 8 saves on 15 shots faced and midfielder Aubrey Kramer managed a team-high 2 shots, one of which was on-goal. Her fellow midfielder, Marli Cevallos, as well as defender Izzy Fidhel, and forward Aleisha Lamb also managed one shot on goal each.
 
North Greenville will begin conference play in Central, SC when they face the Southern Wesleyan University Warriors at 1 PM on Saturday, September 16^th.
