Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Crusaders began conference play with a one-sided 77-44 victory over the Flying Fleet of Erskine College earlier this afternoon at Hayes Gymnasium. NGU put together an impressive performance offensively, shooting over .500 from the field in three of the four quarters and finishing with an overall field goal percentage of .521 while holding the Flying Fleet to a .280 percentage from the field. Although the Crusaders made just five of twenty shots from the perimeter, they were able to attack the paint, posting thirty-eight points in the paint. With the win, North Greenville improved their record to 6-1 overall with a 1-0 record in conference play.
Tabitha Littlefield went 9 of 11 from the field to finish with 22 points. She also posted 5 rebounds as well as a block, steal, and an assist.
Greyson Boone finished with 13 points, 4 steals, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and a block.
Amaijah Smith scored 12 points and recorded 4 assists, 2 steals, and a rebound.
NGU will return to action on Saturday, December 9th against the Emmanuel Lions in Franklin Springs, Georgia.
