The North Greenville Crusaders struggled offensively in a low-scoring contest in Franklin Springs, Georgia, falling to the Emmanuel Lions with a final score of 57-48. NGU was able to get off to a strong start in the opening quarter, leading 19-8 and shooting .438 from the field. However, things would slow down for North Greenville from there as they were outscored in the remaining three quarters. Field goal percentage would go down in each quarter, with the Crusaders finishing the game shooting just .273 from the field and making just two of twenty shots from three point range. Emmanuel struggled offensively as well, but a strong second and third quarter would be enough to finish with a nine point victory. Points off turnovers proved to be a deciding factor as the Lions led in the category 24-15.
Angie Rodriguez put together a solid performance, scoring 9 points and recording 6 rebounds, 3 steals, 2 assists, and a block.
Geassy Germano posted 9 points, 3 rebounds, an assist, and a steal.
Amareya Turner was solid defensively, providing 10 total rebounds, 4 points, and 3 blocks.
North Greenville will return to action on Wednesday, December 13th against the Hawks of Chowan University in Murfreesboro, North Carolina.
