NGU was able to produce at a high volume offensively despite only managing a single goal in the game. They led the match in shots with twenty-four to the Lions' four and shots on-goal, ten to two. The dominant offensive performance was matched with an equally stout defense as the Crusaders held the Lions to very few offensive opportunities in the game, which led to the NGU victory. If not for Emmanuel's nine total saves, the Crusaders could have run away with this match. The win will push NGU's record 10-4-1 overall and 9-1-1 in conference play.
