The North Greenville Crusaders suffered their first conference loss of the season with a 3-2 loss to the Tornado of King University this afternoon in Bristol, Tennessee. North Greenville proved to be a threat to score throughout the match, posting a total of 22 shots with 12 on goal. King was limited to a total of 15 shots with just 4 on goal. However, three of those four shots on goal would result in goals as the Crusaders posted just one save throughout the afternoon. King jumped out to a 2-0 lead before
Lindy Lamb was able to get NGU on the board with a goal just before halftime. However, the Tornado would reopen the lead to two with a very early goal in the second half.
Elainee Sprinkle would close the gap back down to one with a goal, but it would prove to be too late as King was able to hang on for the win.
Lindy Lamb led the Crusaders with a goal and 4 total shots.
Elainee Sprinkle finished with a goal and 3 shots.
Isabella Gyurich recorded an assist and 3 shots with all on goal.
North Greenville returns to action on Tuesday, October 24th against the Emmanuel College Lions at Pepsi Stadium.
