For the second time in three years, the North Greenville Crusaders have advanced to the championship match of the Conference Carolinas Tournament with a 3-1 victory over the Belmont Abbey Crusaders in Browns Summit, North Carolina. Although North Greenville trailed the match in total shots by one, NGU would make the most of their shots by doubling Belmont Abbey's shots on goal 10-5 and scoring two goals in the first half and an insurance goal in the second. Things began early on with an own goal to put NGU on the board. North Greenville struck again in the 26th minute when
Alexah Fite scored her fifth goal of the season with an assist by
Romee Contreras, her fourth of the season. BAC was able to get on the board ten minutes later to close the deficit to one, but North Greenville would lead the half in shots 7-5 and take a 2-0 lead into halftime. NGU put up the first three shots of the second half, but an aggressive Belmont Abbey offense would ultimately lead the second half in shots 11-8. However, not only would NGU shut out BAC in the second half, but North Greenville would score an insurance goal in the 75th minute, which was scored by
Aubrey Kramer, her second goal of the season. Belmont Abbey posted the final five shots of the match, but time would run out as NGU would advance to the championship match.
