Pembroke, NC - The North Greenville Crusaders suffered a 2-0 loss to the Braves of UNC Pembroke to fall to 3-3-2 overall and 2-1-0 in conference play. After being outperformed in the first half, NGU came to life early on in the second half but could not hold off the UNCP offensive attack from eventually finding the back of the net twice.

Recap

• The opening half saw an aggressive UNCP offense take sixteen shots while the defense held North Greenville to just three. However, Lizzy Luzzi would hold up strong at goalkeeper with three saves to keep the match scoreless going into halftime.
• NGU was able to get the offense going early on in the second half, posing four of the first six shots of the half. The Braves would eventually limit the shots would find the back of the net in the 63rd minute and again in the 70th minute. North Greenville would put up two shots late, but would not be able to score.

Individual

• Romee Contreras led NGU with three shots, one of them on goal.
• Kayla Cruse put up two shots with one of them on goal.
• Sarah Adcock made the most of her minutes, recording two shots with on of them on goal in just 39 minutes played.
